It will be a trilogy, so just three for now with book one being Mayhem and the Mortal.

Seeing as Mayhem and the Mortal is set in a fantasy world, race is not a factor there, however our society has conditioned us to believe that only one race is superior. Because of that I will say that I envision Zaira as an unapologetic Black woman.

As for Thane, I envision him as an Afro-Latino male.

In their world, these factors truly don’t matter and it’s really just good people vs. bad people… and a mix of the morally gray.

If you wish to be technical, this is considered a Black romantasy.

My first three thrillers are all standalone novels, but written within the same world. so that means all three have little Easter eggs in the book that hint at the others, which some may consider spoilers.

My suggestion is to read The Perfect Ruin and then follow it with The Wife Before. After those two, go with The Other Mistress to complete that world.

The Bitter Truth and Whispers of the Lake are complete standalone novels with new characters, so you can read those at any time without getting any kind of spoilers.
